The modern world is facing the dangerous effects of non biodegradable substances accumulating in the environment. We use many of these in our homes. There are some solutions to this:

1. Use cotton, bamboo, wood, etc for curtains.

2. Decorative items should be made of these rather than plastic.

3. Use glass and ceramic vessels. Say no to plastics and polyvinyls.

4. Attractive wood carvings and glass works can be used for decorations.
