DIY Solar Panels . . . Save Money and Take Control!

DIY Solar Panels DIY Solar Panels . . . Help make your castle more energy efficient.

Can't do it? Sure you can!

Solar energy is a free, reliable, inexhaustible resource, and by far the earth's most available energy source. It is created at the core of the sun when hydrogen atoms are fused into helium by nuclear fusion. Solar energy is a radiant heat source that causes natural processes upon which all life depends. The sun constantly bathes the earth with much more light energy, or photons than we currently use.

The entire planet receives 84 terrawatts of Power, and our worldwide consumption is about 12 terrawatts. So you see, there is plenty of solar energy for your DIY Solar Panels.

Solar energy is a renewable and clean energy source that can be directly converted to heat, or thermal energy. This form is often referred to as passive solar. If you have been fortunate enough to have deployed passive solar into your home design, you may not need DIY Solar Panels as desperately as most people do.

Passive Solar Energy is not what most people think of as solar power, but rather a type of architectural design . . . a powerful design element which, if utilized well, combines beauty and purpose effectively and inexpensively to use the sun's energy for heating and cooling a building.

DIY Solar Water Heater panels or collectors are mounted in direct sunlight. This direct sunlight typically warms a heat transfer fluid, such as glycol, which in turn runs through a heat transfer system that heats the water for pools or domestic use. Some systems directly heat the water itself.

DIY Solar Panels Another example of DIY Solar energy utilizes Photovoltaic Cells, or (PV) cells. Photovoltaic (PV) technology involves harnessing the radiant light energy emitted by the sun and converting it into electrical current or electricity. It is very effective, but implemented commercially is not as cost effective a solution as the previously stated solutions. That is why DIY know-how is so important.

DIY solar energy is becoming more and more popular and is a superior alternative energy source in the desert regions of the world, and in the latitudes closer to the equator, as it is more economical where there is much sunlight. Solar energy is popular today in developing countries, and is one of the fastest growing segments of the PV market.

PV Solar Power is being used more and more to harness this free energy for powering more American homes and businesses than ever before.
